We arrived in our hotel late and it was dark and we were tired. Little did we expect the sight that greeted us upon awakening, just looking out the window. The Mena House Oberoi hotel was the site of the signing of the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty and both M enahem Begin and Anwar Sadat likely saw what we did.
The structures visible above the treetops almost directly opposite contain the lobby and public areas of the hotel. The grounds are vast.
